Why restart PC after software installation?

First off, go to Apple - iPod + iTunes and download the exe to your desktop for the iTunes installer.

Right click the installer and select run as administrator and use the computer's root administrator account to install it. To do this type Administrator in the username and then the password is often blank or you may have been asked to set it when you first used your computer. Try it blank first and if it doesn't like that then just try running it normally.

If this doesn't work then uninstall iTunes and Quick Time. On Vista you'd do this by going to control panel and programs and features, on XP you'd go to control panel and Add/Remove programs. Look through the list for iTunes and then Quick Time, go through the uninstallation for both.

Once they've been uninstalled run the installer again as described before.

All updates i try to install on Vista Fail for no reason. I tried installing service packs and all but they all failed. What do i do ?

I've tried to Install "Need For Speed: Most Wanted" many times on my computer, but after i write the CD-Key i get this message:

"Software Installation

The software you are installing has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP. (Tell me why this testing is important.)

Tell me please what it's meaning and what i've to do.

I finally got the key code to install my "Left Behind, Eternal Forces" game, and now it won't open for me to play it.
I reinstalled it and it still fails.
A small box/window says

I have windows vista home premium on a disc but when I go to install it says that I must go back and uninstall Nero - Burning Rom so I went to add or remove programs and deleted it, went to install vista and the same again. So I even went into my registry and deleted all keys associated with Nero but it is still saying that It can't install until Nero - Burning Rom is removed from the computer, please help!

the computer worked fine for a week then i got constant issues with my registry when running windows XP sp2 and it would not load windows at all!
it would come up with:
"The application failed to initialize properly (0x0000022)"
on all my windows programs

i then tried to start it up 2 days ago and it then would attempt to load windows then just crash and restart and freeze up before reading the size fo my memory.

i then tried to re install windows XP and it gets part way through the installation crashes and restarts!
I have tried running memtest and it cant get through it without doing the same crash!
it seems to crash randomly after it has been on for about 5 minutes!
I also noticed that the videocard is running quite hot
the cpu is running at 37deg.
please help me!
