i have a choice between these two:
1: 256MB ATI Radeon HD 3650 Graphics card 2. 256MB ATI Radeon HD 2600XT Graphics card option 2 is £20 more. is there much difference in the quality the graphics will be, or does it not really matter much. be honest. Yeah about the memory thing, im getting it from dell, the only options are the two there and these two also: Single 512MB Nvidia Gforce 8800GT card, and 512MB ATI Radeon 3870 Graphics card But I'm getting it for the HD, the only ones that say 'hd' are the first two so I should be picking one of them, right? |

Not loang ago i bought a new gaming case and a gpu and a psu.
I moved my old motherboard and the harddrive over in the new case and installed them there. After eight hours of 'building' i turned it on. After less then half a second it turns off. I disconnected all the stuff and tried to power one thing at the time. It was the DVD drive that would't work. I have tried everything (almost). I tried to use the old PSU just to power the DVD drive and the mother board and then it worked, the problem is, that the old psu is a stock antec (something) 450W and to power my new graphics card i need a better psu, thats why i bought my Psu, which is the Gigabyte Odin 800 and my mother board is the Asus A8N32 SLi Deluxe. Can somebody help? |

I need a good gaming graphics card that is compatible with DDR2 (got a free motherboard from my friend), I stumbled on this 1G card but with the low price, there must be a catch, anyone know what it is?
BFG - NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT 1GB DDR2 PCI Express Graphics Card - BFGR851024GTE I'm not looking to play Bioshock or Crysis on the highest quality possible with max fps, I just want to be able to play the latest games. I don't care how it compares to the 8800 Ultra. Thanks. |

I'm building a computer for the first time, and I was wondering if this graphics card was passable. If not, what do you recommend?

When i go to the Nvidia control panel after installing the correct drivers for my Nvidia geforce 8800gtx card to where it says "adjust settings" it freezes my computer everything and slows down a lot.
Another thing that happens is whenever a game needs to use the graphic card , the game will play but for only a few seconds then it freezes and the images gets messes up. If i'm just using the internet and not playing any games that requires the graphic card to be used my computer is fine. I do have the right drivers install for my current card but the card doesn't work well if i play games that uses its graphics card. It seems like the card wont just play well with any games as it should , its always freezes my computer , Does anyone know or read this kind of problem before, and is it the graphics card or something else. my specs: Motherboard: Asus P5N32-ESLI Processor: Intel core 2 Duo xtreme x6800 @2.93ghx Ram: 3.2GB ram 500gb hard drive 124gb raptor Nvidia geforce 8800gtx 900watt I downloaded the "ATI tool" and heres the results GPU Core clock = 576.0mhz GPU Memory Clock= 900.0mhz GPU Temperature= 69.0 'C GPU Temperature= 61.5 'C PCB Temperature= 59.8 'C Fan Speed= 60% Fan speed= 1481 RPM Does this mean the graphic card is the problem? |
